Well, as some of you  more observant folks may have noticed, the new version is out. I'm not sure how i feel about this..but i'll give it a few days to sink in (read: Learn where the hell all of the buttons went) before i make my decision. Not so sure about the look though.  I head back to school in a few weeks, which means : PACKING (ew) until then i have little but crafting to do. I've got a few projects in the works, so i won't be bored. This is good.

On a different note - How is everyone doing? I realize DA is a community but sometimes it doesn't feel like it, so many people are here only for themselves, they don't pay any mind to other people around here (how many million at this point?). It's impressive that there are so many of us, and yet this place can be so isolating as well. Every so often i try and reach out, but then, because i'm me, i get distracted. I need to try and do more of that. Over a year ago i made a resolution of leaving at least 10 comments a day on random deviations, maybe i should try that again.

But seriously, how are you guys? How's life going?

So, at some point soon, i'll be stumbling over the 6,000 mark. With that said, i think i'll set a goal of another 3,000 by this time next year. It won't happen, but I think i'll aim high. For now, i'm working on alot of craft stuff, which i may submit, but i doubt it. Eventually i'll get back to posting from the never ending travel pictures. Until then, i knit.

So, obviously, happy 4th everyone. Well, even though it's the 5th at this point, and given the diversity of DA i suspect a good chunk of people don't really give a damn about july 4th. But, either way i hope everyone had a good day. Today was spent doing a belated spring cleaning. Oh the fun.  

So, with Hairspray and other musicals blasting, i am at last getting down to updateing some of these pictures. That and replacing alot of the stuff that was stolen in Hawaii last week. On the last leg of my 5 month world explorer tour, the rental car my boyfriend and i had gotten was broken into, my backpack containing his laptop, my glasses, one of my cameras (with no pictures on it fortunately), my cell phone, my ipod and other things was stolen, and it's been a major hooplah with insurance companies and what have you.  Thankfully, we have managed to find all of the reciepts, so we might acctually get insurance to cover it. (please please please)

Having finally figured out how to do borders a way i like, pictures are now being uploaded. Mostly trip photos now. I won't post *all* of them, given there's over 10,000, but expect alot of updates. I'll try and space them out as to not flood people.

Hmmn, so of about 300 shots a i took over last weekend it's looking like only 3 or so of the animal shots and maybe 7ish of the falls shots are worth posting. But either way i'm still happy. Because by 'worth posting' i mean, i'm ecstatic with. There are still *alot* of good shots, but i'm trying to upgrade the general quality of my skills, so i'm raising the bar.

Anyways.  Mid-semester break, i'm pleased 'cos i need some SLEEP!

So i just realized that my profile said i was 18 when i'm acctualy going to be 20 in december, so i just switched it to that so i dont have to worry about it for another year. Yay.

So the fractal deviations seem to be going well as well as the photo stuff i put up. (thanks for all the comments, particularly Dark and Duanya ). I'm glad i'm getting back into the swing of things as last year was kind of a light year for me. Hopefully, since i have *buckets* more time this year i can get more stuff out and looking dandy.

I also just installed another gig of memory on my laptop which is MASSIVELY improving my render time, so i should probably have another two fractals to put up tomorrow afternoon after class. Yay!

Well hey look at that! She did come through after all. Posted a few tonight, likely more to come tomorrow now that i've got all the cords for my camera in order. Woo!

So...summer's almost here for me...just another month, four papers, one test, three quizzes and three final exams to go.

Oh thank god...registration is on tuesday...if i don't get all of my first choice classes i am teh screwed.

But i also found my digital camera, and took some amazing pictures of my friend hannah in her performance of Undine Goes the other night...will post those soon.

it makes me really happy.

College is good, but this week has been absolute shit.

My midterm for macro-econ went missing, either my prof. lost it or it was stolen.

i am majorly ill with some sort of infection.

i miss my hip attachment (mike)

clearly i stepped in a bad karma puddle or something, i dunno.
